🐾 Terms & Conditions of Sale
(Sun Dandelion Cattery – United Kingdom)
1. General
1.1. All kittens bred by Sun Dandelion Cattery are raised in a family home environment with love, care, and socialisation.
1.2. By reserving or purchasing a kitten, the Buyer agrees to all terms and conditions stated below.
1.3. The Breeder reserves the right to refuse a sale if it is believed that the kitten’s welfare may be at risk.
1.4. Applications are reviewed in the order received. Offers to approved families who are a suitable match for a particular kitten follow application order. A waiting-list application does not guarantee a kitten or constitute a reservation.
2. Reservation and Deposit
2.1. Once a suitable match is approved, a reservation deposit of 20% of the kitten’s agreed total purchase price is required. The deposit is credited towards that price.
2.2. The total price, deposit amount, payment method, collection arrangements and cancellation terms will be agreed in writing before payment. Joining the waiting list is free; this website does not collect payments.
2.3. Once the deposit is received and the written reservation is confirmed, the selected kitten will be held for the Buyer until the agreed collection date.
2.4. If the Buyer cancels or does not complete the agreed purchase, the Breeder may retain only a fair amount reflecting actual losses directly caused by the cancellation, up to the deposit paid. The Breeder will take reasonable steps to reduce those losses, including finding another suitable home where possible, and refund any remaining balance. This clause does not override any statutory cancellation or refund rights.
2.5. If the Breeder cancels the sale, the full deposit will be refunded.
2.6. Reservations are a mutual commitment. Both parties should communicate promptly, keep agreed arrangements and respect each other’s time.
3. Health and Veterinary Care
3.1. All kittens leave the cattery:
in good health,
dewormed and flea-treated,
vaccinated (first dose or full course depending on age), and
with a veterinary health record.
3.2. A veterinary check is performed within 48 hours prior to collection.
3.3. Once the kitten leaves the cattery, responsibility for its health and wellbeing transfers to the Buyer.
4. Microchipping and Identification
4.1. All kittens are microchipped before leaving the cattery in compliance with UK law.
4.2. The microchip number will be registered in the Buyer’s name upon transfer.
5. Neutering / Spaying (Sterilisation) Policy
5.1. Kittens sold as “Pet Only” are not to be used for breeding under any circumstances.
5.2. The Buyer agrees to have the kitten neutered or spayed between 4 and 6 months of age, or as advised by their veterinarian.
5.3. The Buyer must provide written proof of sterilisation (a signed veterinary certificate or invoice showing the microchip number and date of procedure) within 14 days after the surgery.
5.4. Failure to provide proof of sterilisation may result in:
cancellation of registration papers,
withdrawal of breeder support, and
reporting to the relevant feline associations if applicable.
5.5. Breeding rights are granted only under a separate written contract and at the Breeder’s discretion.
6. Collection and Transport
6.1. Kittens must be collected in person unless otherwise agreed.
6.2. Transport arrangements (if applicable) must comply with animal welfare regulations and be approved by the Breeder.
6.3. The kitten must not be re-sold, gifted, or transferred to third parties or pet shops without the Breeder’s prior written consent.
7. Returns and Refunds
7.1. Reservation deposits and cancellation refunds are handled under clauses 2.4 and 2.5. Any applicable statutory cancellation and refund rights take priority.
7.2. If you have a health concern after collection, contact us promptly and obtain appropriate veterinary advice. We may request a veterinary report to help understand the issue and discuss the appropriate remedy. This does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
8. Registration and Pedigree
8.1. Where a kitten is registered with a feline association, the applicable registry and pedigree documents will be specified in the written reservation and provided once proof of sterilisation is received, unless breeding rights were explicitly purchased.
9. Governing Law
9.1. These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
9.2. Any dispute arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9.3. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts the Buyer’s statutory consumer rights.
🐱 By placing a deposit or purchasing a kitten, the Buyer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
